Warm Springs GC Local Rules
Revised August 7, 2025
Summary of Changes from June 2025

The rules have been updated to reflect the appropriate holes due to the new course layout.

The newly constructed drainage area beyond the green on hole #9 (Previously #18) is out of bounds and marked by white stakes.

The pond and area surrounding the pond on hole #18 are no longer considered ground under repair unless marked by white paint in specific areas.
USGA Rules apply except when in variance with the following local rules:

Out of bounds:

Defined by inside edges, ground level, of white stakes and property boundary fence posts. The greenbelt bike path is out of bounds and is described by the inside edges of the metal poles supporting the protective fencing (pole to pole). A ball, which crosses the bike path, is out of bounds even though it may lie on another part of the golf course.

The drainage area beyond hole #9 green is out of bounds and is marked by white stakes

The driving range is out of bounds and is marked by white stakes & netting on holes #10 and #11. On hole #12, a ball landing on the driving range side of the net is out of bounds.

* Note: Hole #12, A ball landing on the fairway side of the netting may be played as it lies or a player may drop within two club-lengths of the original lie no closer to the hole under penalty of 1 stroke.

The fenced maintenance area is out of bounds. The boundary is marked by the course facing portions of the fence.

The out-of-bounds on the left side of #16 is determined by each individual fence post. The inside poles are used with the out-of-bounds running diagonally between each pole.

Cart Paths and Maintenance Roads:

A ball resting on a cart path or maintenance road. May take nearest relief.
3. Protected Trees
A. Relief is allowed from small trees and shrubs, which have ribbons, attached or are staked. Swing and/or stance relief only.
4. Relief is allowed from all areas that are marked with white paint including any and all casual water areas.
5. Any and all ropes and signage, which are in place for cart control, may be moved in order to conduct a swing.
6. A ball striking a power line must be replayed.
7. A ball striking a power pole shall be played as it lies.
8. On hole #16, a provisional ball may be played if you are not sure the ball is playable or not, i.e. out of bounds through the fairway or did not cross the water.
9. If a sprinkler head is within 2 club lengths of green and a ball comes to rest within 2 club lengths of sprinkler head in “closely mown area (fringe) and in the intended line of play” relief may be taken.
A. Relief is within 1 club length from the outside edge of the sprinkler head and must be dropped in the same cut of grass “closely mown area, (fringe)” no closer to the hole.
10. Play two balls if you have any questions on a ruling. The rules committee will address the rules upon completion of the round.
11. Range Devices: Range devices are permitted.
12. Players may NOT practice putt after ball is holed.
Pace of Play
PLEASE BE MINDFUL OF YOUR PACE. Do what you can to stay up with the group in front of you. Play ready golf.
Notes
Please repair/replace divots throughout the course and repair ball marks on the green.
Rake the bunkers and place the rakes appropriately.
